Hi Neil,

I wanted to take a minute to thank you and all of the Orton Performance folks. While at Road Atlanta from Gulf Coast Alabama, I money shifted my RS America on the back straight on June 7th running the engine up to the 9-10,000 rpm range. One of your employees met me at the shop on Sunday to drop the car off inside for an evaluation. By Tuesday it was discovered that I had broken 5 rockers and dinged up a couple of exhaust valves- could have been worse for sure. Since we were there, I might as well upgrade to titanium valve springs and retainers right? Well the upgrade parts took a couple of days to get to you, and I needed to be fixed in less than two weeks for my next event at Barber Motorsports on June 20th. Yall got right to it and had me repaired and upgraded by that Thursday afternoon- less than 9 days within the cost estimate.

The car is running great and I really appreciate you accommodating my schedule. You were great to work with- especially from 400 miles away. My level of trust in you and your abilities to work and set up my car are beyond that of anyone that I have met in my 23 years of owning automobiles. Thanks for an honest diagnosis, doing quality work, and putting in the time to get me back on the track at a fair price. Please pass on my gratitude to everyone at Orton Performance.

Im writing to say thank you for the work that you did on my Cayman S last month. Since you installed the exhaust, short shifter and new air filter the car is so much more fun to drive and much more responsive than stock. The best part is that the car seems to breathe so much better and the short shifter makes every drive an adventure. The B&B exhaust gets mellower with every outing and the sound is really nice. Guess Im a bit of an exhibitionist.

It was great hanging out with you, Chops and the other guys at the garage. I really enjoyed the Craic and watching you applying your considerable skills to the short shifter installation. That was very educational for me and gave me some of the confidence that I need when working on the car myself.

Thanks again for your recommendations and your efforts. It was all well worth the investment in parts and services to say nothing of having the opportunity to meet and hang out with you and your team. I would recommend Orton Performance to anyone who is interested in performance automobiles, and, in fact, have many times since you completed my modifications.

I've had my car since last fall and have tried to be very deliberate in my choice of modifications over the past few months. Started out slow with the JIC Cross Competition (9k/12k) suspension and, of course, new wheels (need the bling). Took the car out to the track a few times since the installation and the handling was MUCH better than stock. Not just cornering where one would expect it, but on the straights too. The car just seemed more "planted" throughout the circuit. During one DE I also added and H&R sway bar and that fine tuned the car even further-it seems perfect now.

As I got more confident with the car I finally decided to have the ECU flashed and all I can say is WOW! I've been to the track twice since the flash and it is simply amazing. The throttle response is awesome, powerful and purposeful, but not overwhelming. Why Porsche doesn't put the car out like this from factory is beyond me.

I'm already hankering for more power, but want to wait until I know I can handle what I have. As I'm still a novice and this car is already much more powerful than anything I've ever owned, I know it will take experience to put to use all this awesome machine has to offer.

The reason for the post is to thank Neil Orton for all that he has done for me throughout this process. He's a true Porsche enthusiast and it shows in his work and how he advises his customers. He installed the suspension and ECU on my car and have thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, before, during, and obviously, after. I look forward to his assistance in future modifications and recommend him highly to anyone that is considering modifying their Porsches.

My research sent me to Orton Performance. After a thorough consultation with owner Neil Orton, we agreed on a program to bring my car some additional power, and most important, driver fun.

Neil made the following list of modifications:

-H&R Lowering Springs
-Victor Le Mans 19 wheels, with 315 rubber(Toyo T1R) in back
-Red Brake Calipers (removed, powder-coated, decaled, and clear-coated)
-B&M short-shift kit
-K&N Air Filter
-Orton Performance Headers
-Fabspeed Exhaust
-Orton ECU remap
-6mm spacers in front

Overall, the car performs much better after all Neils modifications. It drives totally differently, much quicker. It now simply shoots forward like a rocket and feels infinitely quicker, lighter, and more nimble. Torque available down low is amazing, and throttle response is immediate across the RPM band. Neil- knows his stuff, and did a great job. Hes a Porsche guru, no doubt about it.

I am now buying a 2005 997S, and my first stop will be Orton Performance.

Thanks Neil for your work on my Turbo, most notably the ECU upgrade. Having owned numerous high performance cars I was impressed with the stock Turbos performance but not blown away. After your update to my ECU I am truly amazed! The difference in the torque is unbelievable and the overall effect transformed the car. Also, the reliability has surpassed my expectations. After hearing some of the horror stories from others following their ECU upgrades from some other tuners I was expecting some problems even though you assured me otherwise. Well, you were right rock solid reliability backed up by rock solid performance.

In my CS I ordered sport chrono. It is the most important option in my opinion. The stock set up is great because you can use it to save fuel on an interstate run. Now however after Orton reflashed the car, it is radically different. In normal mode the car acts tame and walks through traffic like a Lexus, and is quieter. In sport mode I got Dr Jeckel on steriods! The car rips the tires out from under it and rockets forward. I never imagined that the few inexpensive mods that I made would do this. I am now truly obsessed with the car,(passione amore).

WOW!!! Thats all I can say. I now have a fast Carerra 4S. This is how the car should have come when I bought it. I love it, its fast, its smooth and it looks stock, until I get on the gas in the Sport Mode. Thank you for taking the time explaining everything, it made a difference to me. Im glad I went with the complete package, ECU, Headers, Exhaust and Air Filter. Next will be the Short Shifter on the transmission. I cannot wait. Keep up the great work and quality.

Hey Neil, All I can say is WOW! I do not know what you guys did but this a totally new car. It pulls like a freight train and climbs the rev line like greased lightning! The exhaust, ( no headers), and the Air filter help but ECU flash pulls the whole package together in a great, great way! The entire package is truly amazing. Orton Cayman R380

I am the elusive owner of the Cayman S 3.8 conversion by Orton Performance. I have driven the car approx. 1000 miles since picking it up in Atlanta on 7/17. To date there have been no issues with this conversion-no check engine light etc. It behaves exactly like stock until you floor it - then all hell breaks loose. The car is very quick (not quite as fast as my 996 Turbo) & the exhaust sound from 5000 rpm & up is unreal. It uses stock mufflers but only two 100 cell cats.

I just wanted to tell you how happy I have been with my R 480 program. I have put over 2,000 miles on the car so far and have had absolutely no problems or regrets. My car pulls so hard and so smooth that those that drive it actually laugh when they floor it. This car drives as smooth as stock with no sputtering or hesitation. My mileage has remained over 18 city and around 24-26 on the highway at normal cruising speeds. I can honestly say that for someone looking for real, noticeable power gains this should be the first modification they make. I call it the velvet hammer because it is very smooth but it hits very hard. Thanks again for all your patience with my questions, and for your professional guidance.

I just wanted to formally let you know, via a letter, how satisfied I am with the PSI products I have purchased from Orton Performance. You were the first person that I talked to that would explain how to read the dyno graphs and what was (and was not) important.

Being the power junky that I am, I immediately began discussing the R 550 kit with you, and you later suggested that I might want to try the R480 kit first. After installing the R 480 kit, I was amazed at how SOON the turbos spool up and build serious power. This is the first thing that my technician noticed after replacing my old (32,000 mile) spark plugs. The system just works; good drivability, great sound, awesome power, and no issues.

Thank you for the wonderful job you have started doing on my Porsche. Let me tell you, when you told me that my car would sound better than a Ferrari, it only sounded as if you were trying to sell me your services. I didnt believe it would actually be true, but... MAN you were right!!! The car sounds unbelievable! People actually are stopping me in the streets to compliment me about how great the car sounds. I am so happy and so excited. I cant wait to have the rest of the package put into the car!

Thanks for your hard work on the upgrade. Frankly, I was skeptical about how much difference I would be able to feel since I don't drive that car on track. I was stunned when I first drove it. The first thing I noticed was the improved throttle response and torque down low. The car responds to throttle input quicker and pulls stronger from below 2K rpm. My long drive home reinforced my initial impression as the car is actually more tractable than it was in stock form. I love the power and torque down low!!!

Now for the really good stuff. I pulled out of the shop and found a new rarely used empty road. In second, I put it to the floor as I have done many times and was shocked. The front of the car actually lost traction a bit and it pulled a lot harder than stock! I will say that when the tires are not up to temp, if you put your foot down you better have both hands on the wheel! The car builds to full boost almost immediately and is just shockingly fast; above 3K it's like a wild animal! I am very, very impressed with the upgrade and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of upgrading their car.

OK, I got the ECU back. Neil at Orton Performance received my ECU by FedEx on Tuesday and it was back in my car this afternoon. Talk about a quick turn around. Neil was very helpful throughout the transaction and answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. He gave me an absolutely great deal and great service.

Now for the performance. I'll spell it for you, T O R Q U E! Much better power down low, the bar gauge used to climb from .2 to .3 to .5 and eventually to a spike of .8 or .9 Now, she goes from 0 straight to .8, .9, 1.0 bar and spikes occasionally at 1.1. Lag is almost non-existent. Thanks again, Neil.
